01 · The practice
Twenty-five years, two clinics
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic. I have practiced for 25 years, through word of mouth, and I practice neurologically based chiropractic: cranial work and NET. I see patients in Sunnyvale Monday through Thursday, and in Carmel by appointment only.
I help people get out of the fog and back to feeling like themselves. We find where the stress is in the brain and cranial nerves, and we treat that. Very few practitioners are trained in both.
02 · Certification
What Certified NET Practitioner, Level II means
NET has a certifying body, and it publishes a directory of practitioners with each one’s certification level. I am listed there as a Certified NET Practitioner, Level II.
In the directory’s own definitions, Level I means the practitioner completed the certification program and attends ongoing classes. Level II means Level I plus additional required trainings. There is also a Level III, which adds further training and an advanced written exam. Certification itself requires the technique’s Basic seminar, its Advanced seminar, and a third program before a practitioner can be certified at all.
The certificate tells you I was trained. The retest at the end of your visit shows you what changed.
03 · Training
My training
It all started in 2000 when I was in a gap year living in Spain. I was sitting on a bridge, preparing to go to MBA school the following year, and I got an epiphany. From nowhere, my life purpose was to help people walk through a rehabilitation of some kind. I had studied nothing but business and Spanish up to that point. I called my parents and said I am changing courses, and I am going to medical school. They were not happy.

I am a professional speaker for Standard Process, the whole food supplement company. I speak to other practitioners. I would not say that I am a teacher. It is just for Standard Process. In 2010 they named me a Rising Star.

05 · A visit
How a visit works
You come in and do six to eight neurological tests, plus two or three of the twelve cranial nerves. You can do them or you can’t. We both see where the stress in your brain is coming from: left brain, right brain, left cerebellum, right cerebellum. The neurological testing doesn’t lie.
Then we do a treatment. The treatment is cranial work and NET. The chiropractic adjusting comes last, because as you reduce the stressors the body needs less of it, and what is left gets specific to what it needed.
Then we do the tests again. You could not do this, and now you can. Your brain is less stressed: out of fight or flight and into the parasympathetic, which is healing, digestion, real sleep, and joy. I don’t care why it was misfiring. I care that the test showed it, and that after treatment it doesn’t.
