Neuro Emotional Technique (NET): what it is, and whether it is real

01 · Legitimacy

“Anybody have any experience with NET therapy? Everything else has pretty much failed.”

Someone asked that online, in those words. Here is my answer.

This technique is legit and there is so much research to prove it.

Here is the honest version. Neuro Emotional Technique, NET, is used by licensed practitioners to find where a stress response is still running in the nervous system and to reduce it. It has peer-reviewed studies on PubMed, a nonprofit research foundation, a university health-professions program that teaches it, and a documentary built around the research. All of that is listed below, with links, so you can read it yourself.

None of it is the reason to believe me. The reason is the retest. You do a set of neurological tests before treatment and the same tests after, in the same visit, and you see the difference yourself.

02 · Word of mouth

Someone you trust sent you, and you still think this sounds like nonsense.

That is how most people find me: a friend, a family member, a coworker who was already here. I have practiced 25 years through word of mouth.

It’s not rocket science. These are real neurological tests that you’re doing right in front of me, and you’re doing them in front of yourself. The neurological testing just doesn’t lie.

03 · The treatment

What a NET treatment is, and what it is not

This is not talk therapy. There are emotions involved, but the work is neurological.

I’m more of an electrician than a mechanic. I find the circuits that are open, and we close them. That grounds the body. These treatments are brain resets, like how you reset a computer. They get bodies out of fight or flight and into the parasympathetic, which is healing, digestion, real sleep, and joy.

In my office the treatment is cranial work and NET. The chiropractic adjustment comes last, and only where the testing says it serves. I find where the stress is in the brain and cranial nerves, and I reduce it. That is the treatment.

04 · A patient’s question

How come I can’t find that back pain?

A patient asked me that after a treatment. Here is the accurate answer.

It’s not that I fixed your back. Your brain is less stressed, so it’s firing less of those pain neurons. A lot of pain is a programmed response: the body over-responding, not regulating properly. When the neuro emotional stressor is reduced, the brain and body regulate better.

I don’t care why it was misfiring. There are a million reasons it could be. I care that right now I can tell it’s misfiring, because you can’t do this test, and after treatment you can.

The retest: a person turns their head while Dr. Bae watches, seen from behind the person at shoulder level
05 · The retest

The retest is the proof.

Every visit is a test, a treatment, and a retest.

Six to eight neurological tests, plus two or three of the twelve cranial nerves. You can do them or you can’t, and we both see where the stress in your brain is coming from: left brain, right brain, left cerebellum, right cerebellum. Then the treatment: cranial work and NET. Then we do the tests again.

You could not do this, and now you can. Your neck could only turn 15 degrees to the left, and now it goes 90, with no adjusting of the spine. That is what a less stressed brain looks like, and you leave with something you did yourself, not something I told you.

The evidence

The evidence, listed.

Read it yourself. I am naming these, not summarizing them for you.
